CANDIDATE:

  • Must have high understanding of the Eswatini economy, politics and all social issues.
  • Highly motivated, honest, energetic, detail orientated team player with excellent news judgement.
  • Must be willing to work long hours especially on weekends
  • Must have experience in the field of journalism
  • Must have good command of the English Language
  • Work well under pressure
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be willing to work closely with other reporters, photographers and editors from other towns, cities.
  • Must own a functioning cellphone

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report on a broad range of subjects mainly politics and economy.
  • Write five (5) fair, accurate, well investigated balanced stories for the Sunday paper weekly.
  • Establish and maintain good news sources.
  • Ability to generate well investigative stories is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

A University Degree or a minimum Diploma in Journalism from a recognized institution.

A minimum (5) years work experience as a reporter will be an added advantage.
