Job Description

Inyatsi Construction is looking to employ a suitably qualified and well experienced Operator Trainer to manage training of company plant operators and drivers:

Applicants should possess the following skills and qualities:

1.      Minimum 5 years’ experience as an operator trainer in heavy civils plant as listed below;

2.      Must be able to evaluate and train operators on all machines as listed below;

3.      Must be a registered/accredited  TETA/CETA/MQA  facilitator/trainer/Assessor;

4.      Must possess minimum 3 years working experience as an operator;

5.      Must be able to write progress reports on all training ;

6.      Good Interpersonal Skills;

7.      Valid EFH Drivers License with a clean record;

8.      Knowledge of health and safety principles;

9.      Must be computer literate (MS Office);

10.   Must be able to provide relevant technical input;

11.   Must have problem solving skills.

Key role and responsibilities:

1.      Draw up a Training Program for Operators and Drivers;

2.      Train operators to operators to operate construction equipment in a safe and productive manner;

3.      Evaluate operator & driver competency;

4.      From time to time, visit the various projects for purposes of coaching;

5.      Oversee the Coaching/Training of new/Learner Operator and Drivers

6.      Maintain a record of all operator/driver licenses and ensure their timely renewal;

7.      Improve the operational skills of all Inyatsi operators and drivers;

8.      Maintain and improve training manuals;

9.      Maintain safe and healthy work environment/practices;

10.   Write reports and provide feedback to management;

11.   Adhere to company policies and procedures and be prepared to sites and be away from home base, occasionally.
