To achieve this mandate Compassionate Swaziland aims at building a team that has the passion, skills and drive to meet the needs of USAID we are currently seeking to fill the position of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. the communities we work with_ In partnership with PACT-Swaziland through the support of Reporting to the Program Manager the incumbent will perform the following duties and responsibilities.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing and updating Compassionate Swaziland Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Plans.
Coordinating Annual target setting and Compassionate Swaziland Operational Planning
Developing Compassionate Swaziland MER Annual Work Plans
Providing technical support to the organization in the development and implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting systems for all donor projects
Providing technical assistance to the organization in development of project descriptions
Providing technical assistance to the organization in developing MER plans
Reviewing the organization’s data collection, collation and analysis tools
Providing technical assistance to the organization in developing Data Quality Management Plans
Providing technical support to partners in developing beneficiary/ client databases
Providing data analysis technical support to the organization
Reviewing Quarterly, Semi- annual and Annual M&E data reports to ensure conformity with all donors’ requirements
Providing Technical support to the organization in designing and conducting internal and external evaluations and special studies including Behavior Change Surveys
Producing Compassionate Swaziland Quarterly, Semi-Annual and Annual M&E reports
Planning and Managing Compassionate Swaziland internal and external evaluations
Coordinate with key partners in monitoring and evaluation efforts
Maintain close communication and guidance to ensure compliance with donors’ standards
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences or Relevant or equivalent experience Program Management experience (M&E experience is an added advantage)
Minimum is 2 years’ experience in successful capacity building of civic society organization)
A minimum of 1 years’ experience in NGO and HIV environment (PEPFAR and Global Fund experience is an added advantage)
Ability to work independently, take initiative and manage a variety of activities concurrently
A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in high profile, fast-paces environment
Ability to communicate technical issues effectively and persuasively
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively, think analytically and take initiative in solving problems
Ability to use MS Office (word. Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
2 years of relevant professional experience in Monitoring and evaluation in an NGO environment, Design of M&E plans, Indicator development, Data Collection, Collation, Analysis and reporting tools, Evaluation and Research designs.
Proficiency in computer packages MS word, Excel, SPSS and databases programs such as Access
Experience with producing donor and management reports
