Background The Baylor College of Medicine Bristol-Myer's Squibb Children's Clinical Centre of Excellence (COE) in Mbabane and the associated. Satellite Centers of Excellence (SCOE) at Hlathikulu Government Hospital and RFM Hospital in Manzini are a manifestation of a public-private partnership between the Government of the Kingdom of Swaziland and Baylor College of Medicine, Texas, USA. Vikela Ekhaya is a project designed to enable community management of I households impacted by tuberculosis and is supported through the Stop TB Partnership. The Foundation seeks to immediately fill the following positions:
VIKELA EKHAYA PROJECT MANAGER
Manages and coordinates the activities of the Vikela Ekhaya-TB Reach project to ensure that predetermined objectives are met and that project implementation is accomplished, on budget and within specified timeframe. Will report directly to the TB Head of Department and work closely with the Vikela Ekhaya/TB Reach project team. Must have excellent organizational and oral communication skills.
Essential Functions & Duties:
Under supervision of the Associate Director for the Vikela Ekhaya-TB Reach project, he/she will: • Manage Wave 6 TB Reach/Vikela Ekhaya daily project operations and maintain organized records of all efforts associated with TB Reach project deliverables • Ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified programmatic objectives, within budget and on specified timeline • Manage scheduling of project home visits and support monitoring of patient follow-up and outcome documenta-tion • Be a flexible leader and manager the overall team implementing the Vikela Ekhaya project • Review and organize project staff roles and responsibilities for projects success • Contributes to and support the completion of TB Reach quarterly and final reports • Conduct final review of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data, alongside the M&E Officer and TB Head of Department, to ensure completion for programmatic evaluatifmt • Communicate clearly and efficiently with Vikela Ekhaya, NTCP and MOH staff, and Baylor colleagues • Supports all project start up and post-award activities, as specified by TB Reach • Consistently displays a highly collaborative, proactive work style • Other duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Preferred Bachelor's degree or degree equivalent in public health, program management, health administration or a related field. • 2-3 years of project management, implementation, M&E experience or other relevant experience. • Strong organizational and communication skills. • Fluency in English and SiSwati.
