Our client SOS Children's Village Swaziland, is seeking to employ a Programme Director for their Siteki office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: As head of programme and supervisor of all facilities falling under the project, the Programme Director is responsible for ensuring the wellbeing and development of the children and youths in the organizations care and guides pedagogical and administrative support to the SOS families. On the other hand, s/he is responsible for the overall supervision of the community development programme and ensuring the programme delivers relevant services to families within the target group and community/les.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Oversee the Programme • Ensure the development and running of effective Administrative Systems (Human and Financial) • Fund Development • Plan, Co-ordinate, review and Report on the development of the Programme • Ensure appropriate and efficient usage of the Associations Resources
The suitable candidate must have the following minimum requirements:-
• An advanced degree in the social sciences field or similar • 5 years' experience in a senior position. • Proven experience of working with vulnerable children and communities and knowledge of child rights issues • High level analytical skills and ability to think strategically • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • People management skills • Competent to work with significant levels of autonomy and as a team player • Ability at being flexible and adapt to changing situations • Good communication and reporting skills • Ability to meet tight deadlines • Knowledge of MS Office
