Peak Timbers is an integrated forestry and sawmilling group with one of the largest forestry plantations in the Kingdom of Swaziland,together with a sawmill and pole treatment plant. Restructuring of the group has created the vacancy for a Chief Financial Officerto drive the integration of the business units, improve the internal controls and reporting and optimise the group's liquidity.
The role This exciting role takes full responsibility for the financial functions of the group. Reporting to the CEO, you willbe a key member of the Senior Management team. You should be a seasoned and mature leader with at least 10 to 12 years of financial and general business experience. You will be
responsible for: • Leading, developing and mentoringthe finance and administration teams; • Leading the financial and business planning process including metrics and support to the group's strategic direction; • The full financial operational function including, reporting, processes, procedures and controls; • Identifying areas of process and efficiency improvement; • Preparation and presentation of Board and Management reports; and • Ensuring effective communication with the shareholders and financiers
This role will suit a high performing Financial Controller wanting to take the next step into a Chief Financial Officer position, ideally you will have exposure to an agriculture and / or manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified with several years' experience in a finance leadership position, additionally you will also demonstrate outstanding skills in the following areas: • The ability to be hands-on and support the business wherever it is required;• The ability to adapt communication style to manage outstanding relationships with stakeholders from operational staff to the Senior Management team and Board; and • A highly proactive approach and a demonstrated ability to identify and execute initiatives that drive commercial results for the business
