SWAZI RAIL LINK - PROJECT DIRECTOR


MAIN FUNCTION OF THE JOB:  To deliver a new rail link that meets the specifications of a heavy haul train operations, dedicated to freight transportation. To carry out all other works associated with the construction of the new line. To handle the communities affected in particular the homesteads to be relocated and resettled and create a good working relationship ensuring coexistence of the new line operations with the traditional authorities, the communities and the relocated and resettled families.


QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized reputable University

• A Professional Engineer with experience in infrastructure projects

• A Masters' Degree in Engineering or Business Administration will be an added advantage

• Procurement and Contracts Management

• Project Management

• Knowledge of railway industry an added advantage


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

• At least 15 years work experience in an Engineering field at Senior Management level

• Experience in Construction Management Planning

• Technical Cluster (Demand & Capacity Planning, Integrate Planning & Alignment, ORS Management & Operations, Engineering Development, Sustainability & Environmental Planning & Management& stakeholder engagements, Capital Execution)

• Business Cluster (Commercial negotiations & agreements, Financial Modelling, Funding Model, Property acquisition & management, Equipment acquisition, Operational readiness, Legal services, Business case, Corporate Communication)

• Programme Support (Integrated Schedule, Budget Control, Risk Management, Reporting & Governance, Benefits & Change Management, Capital Assurance (Programme Gate Review & internal Audits).
