In order to support the achievement of the Society’s strategic journey, a vacancy for an adequately qualified, experienced and self-driven professional has arisen in branch management. This position is tenable at our head office in Mbabane. PURPOSE OF THE JOB The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the achievement of the society’s strategic objectives by leading and managing the day to day operations of the branch, ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements and internal policies, delighting our customers, ensuring profitability of the branch and effective people management. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Provide efficient service and monitor the satisfaction level of customers: o Adherence to SBS customer service charter o Implementation of the SBS customer service strategy o Handling customer queries, complements and complaints o Ensuring teams have adequate tools and resources to efficiently serve customers • Enable branch operational efficiencies: o Compliance to regulatory requirements in all branch operations o Preparation and monitoring of the branch risk register o Maintenance and safekeeping of all branch assets o Adherence to the safety and security procedures o Preparation of branch reconciliations and other periodic reports • Manage branch costs and pursue opportunities to increase revenue collection: o Manage branch staff costs as per stipulated caps o Proactively identity and address revenue leakage risks o Applying the appropriate charges for services rendered o Monitor branch cash holding and do necessary reimbursements • Enable branch business growth: o Explore and pursue new business opportunities o Provide guidance and support to the different branch teams ensuring sales targets are achieved o Monitor month on month overall branch financial performance and performance of each product or revenue stream • Leading the branch team: o Adherence to SBS policies around people management and talent development o Ensuring the appropriate skills and competence levels among Branch staff o Championing the SBS core values and vision o Coaching and discipline management o Effective performance management QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking or related field • A post graduate qualification will be an added advantage • At least 5 years experience in the branch operations, with at least 2 additional years in a supervisory position • A proven record in positively influencing teams for achievement of targets KEY COMPETENCIES: • Passionate in serving customers • Accountability and open to learning • Teamwork and collaboration • Leadership skills • Monitoring and control techniques • Report writing skills • Financial analysis and interpretation skills • Cash management and branch security procedures • Financial services sector risk and compliance (AML) management techniques OUR OFFER: We offer a competitive and market related package commensurate with skills and experience.
