A career opportunity is open for an adequately qualified and experienced Reconciliations Supervisor within the Card Services Department. PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Reconciliation Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of the reconciliations unit per internal policies and accounting principles; to ensure accurate and efficient reconciliations i process is executed timely. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Reconciliation of all relevant suspense accounts in the department within relevant timelines. Oversee the performance of daily reconciliations for all card related transactions and nostro account; ensure timely resolution of reconciling items, reporting and exception reporting. Ensure daily balancing of reports between card related system balances. Execute settlements, ensure record retention, complete data capturing, and maintain accounting and reconciliation functionality, while conforming to compliance and regulatory requirements in a manner that avoids financial loss to stakeholders. Manage risk issues diligently in line with company operations and procedures. Review reconciliations for accuracy, integrity and address any anomalies/exceptions to ensure correct information is uploaded, posted or authorised. The incumbent will liaise with the requisite supervisors on any exceptions and address accordingly. KEY COMPETENCIES Organisational commitment. Concern for order and quality. Analytical thinker. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Degree in Accounts/ Finance / Business Studies or Equivalent. 5-7 years’ relevant banking experience. 3 years in supervisory role. KEY SKILLS Planning and organizing. Finance and business skills. Resource management. Computer literacy. KEY COMPETENCIES: Diploma in Accounts/ Finance or equivalent. At least 1-year experience in reconciliations department.
