Applications are invited from suitable and qualifying candidates to fill two positions of Driver that exists in the Finance Department. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB To transport Bank Staff, Visitors and delivery of documents to respective recipients to ensure furtherance of Bank's objectives and communication in line with the Bank's `policies in a cost effective manner. While this is intended to be an accurate reflection of the current job, the Bank's management reserves the right to revise the job to require that other or different tasks be performed as circumstances change KEY FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB : To transport staff members and visitors to respective destinations to ensure compliance to their schedule and their safe travels in a manner that portrays the Bank's image. To conduct and record pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms, prior to and post each trip to ensure safety of passengers and longevity of vehicles in line with the Banks Policies and Procedures. e Ensuring that vehicles are fuelled as and when required. e Ensuring vehicles are secure, kept clean, tidy and in good working condition at all times. • Ensure vehicles are given regular/day to day maintenance checks: check oil, water, battery, brakes, tyres etc. e Perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs, prepare vehicles spare parts inventory. e Vehicles maintenance to ensure they are serviced as per manufacturers' specifications. e Log book maintenance to ensure all the trips are recorded as per requisition forms. Daily checking of pigeon box for instructions to pick up and deliver letters, items and passengers. :e Delivering and collecting mail to ensure all Bank's correspondences are delivered timely and at the right places. e Upholding high driving skills to ensure cash repatriation is transported safely at all times. Report all accidents and incidents involving driver's or Bank's equipment. Promptly report all delays due to breakdowns, weather, or traffic conditions or other emergencies, or in the event of irregularities relating to pick up or delivery of items and passengers. Facilitating immigration and customs formalities as per requirements. Ye Doubling as protocol officers for the Bank's visitors and ensuring professional representation of the Bank through responsible driving, appearance andhospitality. se Perform all duties in accordance with the Bank's Policies and Procedures and comply with local and foreign laws and regulations for the safe operations of a motor vehicle. QUALIFICATION • Possess a valid driver's license / Heavy Duty Driver's license. • 0 level School education. 5' Must meet or exceed the medical standard of local and foreign department of transport. Satisfactorily pass, drug and alcohol test and be of sober habits. Te Defensive Driving skills. EXPERIENCE - Three years driving experience. Must have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES The Driver must be responsible, reliable, trustworthy, punctual, discreet and respectful of confidentiality. • Team player-personable, caring, helpful, diplomatic, honest and appreciable. ;e- Understanding of transport rules and legislation. • Paying attention to detail. ‘e: Interpersonal skills- being well organized, systemic, careful and accountable. • Good communication skills. e Ability to read and write English language. Perform simple mathematical calculations. Mush have mental ability to handle receipts; read maps, road signs and maintain record of duty status. Knowledge of the location of Bank related business partners, airline offices, hotels and restaurants and have good traffic judgement.
