Career opportunities are open for wet experienced and passionate Credit specialists to strengthen our credit team. These exciting opportunities are tenable at our Head Office (Mbabane): 1. CREDIT MANAGER PURPOSE OF THE JOB As Credit Manager you will be accountable for the credit granting process, including the consistent application of the SBS credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the credit worthiness of potential customers, with the goal of increasing sales within the SBS risk appetite. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Responsible for managing the development and maintenance of a high-quality credit risk rating system used for credit decisions and capital allocation • Credit risk evaluation of loan proposals from the various market segments • Carrying out comprehensive credit risk analysis and appraisals of loan prdposals for individual and corporate clients • Guiding and supporting Credit Analysts to ensure thorough analysis and evaluation of proposals emanating from the business • Making suitable recommendations in respect of amount to be sanctioned, acceptability of the risk, terms and conditions of the sanction, pricing for risk, etc. • Preparing analytical reports and risk register on loan evaluation and discuss same with management and other functional areas • Ensuring awareness and adherence to the credit policy, appropriate risk management policies, procedures, processes and standards throughout the Society • Monitoring credit exposures, concentration risk, and review of credit facilities QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: • A Bachelor's degree in business; a post graduate qualification will be an added advantage • 5 to 8 years management experience in credit risk management and loan evaluation • Demonstrated successful experience in individual and commercial loan evaluation KEY COMPETENCIES: • Clear understanding of the local market, industry scenario, analytical and credit appraisal skills. • Tracked experience in drafting policy and procedure documents around the domain of credit risk management • Sound knowledge of the regulatory and lending business environment in Swaziland • Good understanding of credit risk, compliance and market-risk issues • Proven risk management skills and abilities • Decision making skills • Highly ethical and goal oriented • Proficient in use of MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Presentation, Project, etc.) 2. CREDIT ANALYST PURPOSE OF THE JOB As Credit Analyst you will be accountable for the credit appraisal of loan applications within defined guidelines and accordingly recommend viable loan proposals for approval to higher authorities. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Process loan applications and documentation according to set standards and guidelines • Evaluate and appraise all loans holistically using qualitative and quantitative techniques for creditworthiness and viability • Analyse credit risk for all forms of connected lending • Maintain compliance with credit risk management principles, AMUCFT and regulatory requirements • Coordinating with the sales team, legal, technical and customer service in determining equitable loan needs • Reviewing loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to the SBS credit policy and procedures • Maintain and update client account records QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor's degree in business or related field • Minimum of 5 years working experience in loan valuation and/or credit products KEY COMPETENCIES : • Strong communication skills, especially analytical report writing • Traceable working knowledge of property finance and other credit products • Sound knowledge of the regulatory and lending business environment in Swaziland • Good understanding of credit risk, compliance and market-risk issues • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite OUR OFFER: We offer a competitive package commensurate with skills and experience APPLICATIONS: A comprehensive CV with 3 traceable references; and certified copies of academic qualifications should be forwarded by email to firstname.lastname@example.org not later than Friday 27th April 2018 If you have not received any feedback from us within 30 clays of the closing date; please consider your application to have been unsuccessful.
